Theatre of cruelty class notes

Journal entry:     Assigning Roles!

Today in class, the make up group and I got into a circle and discussed about our individual roles for the project. Although we would work in collaboration for the over all aesthetic appeal of the piece, we gave each eachother individual duties in order to move our project further. Jury was in charge of make up, Amanda was in charge of the special effects such a the blood and the vomit of the cleansing scene. Grace is in charge of the costumes and i am in charge of the props. We decided that we would make conscious artistic choices together, however each have our own responsibility. I think that it was a great idea, as although we are working as a team, we can be experts in our own specific areas, however still having help from the rest of the group, as Drama is a subject that can be never done alone! There are just so many things to take care of in a good performance that is done in a collaborative way!
